I always enjoy reading Christmas stories, and I am so excited to read this book, because the first adventure in the series was so good. I'm glad Michelle Griep decided to continue this saga. :) What books do you enjoy reading around the holidays? Do you like Christmas stories? If so, I would love some new recommendations--let me know in the comments below. Happy reading!

Today I am going to post a line from:
A Tale of Two Hearts
by Michelle Griep
And the first line is...
London, 1853
Whether I shall turn out to be the hero of my own life, or whether that station will be held by anybody else, these pages must show. ~Charles Dickens~
"In the tiny back courtyard of the Golden Egg Inn, Mina Scott lowered her copy of David Copperfield to her lap and lifted her face to the October sun."
Happy reading and happy Friday!
Let me know your first line in the comments & then head over to Hoarding Books to see who else is participating!
This one's on my TBR for next month. I'm looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteI'm sharing the first line from "My Hands Came Away Red" by Lisa McKay on my blog today, but I've also just finished reading Lisa Harris's new release "A Secret to Die For":
A sharp clatter jerked Grace Callahan out of the novel she was reading.
Have a great weekend!
I'm glad! Let me know what you think of it--happy reading Katie!
DeleteMy first line comes from Thunder and Rain by Charles Martin.
ReplyDeletePROLOGUE
Five years ago
Andie grabbed the pommel, slid her foot in the stirrup and hopped up on May-a fifteen-hand black cutting horse with white socks.

ReplyDeleteMy First Lines come from Season of Wonder by RaeAnne Thayne.....
“This is totally lame. Why do we have to stay here and wait for you? We can walk home in, like, ten minutes.” Daniela Capelli drew in a deep breath and prayed for patience, something she seemed to be doing with increasing frequency these days when it came to her thirteen-year-old daughter. “It’s starting to snow and already almost dark.”
Have an awesome weekend and happy reading!💕📚
I had to laugh..."This is totally lame." :) Happy reading Susan!
DeleteHappy Friday! My first line is from "A Widow's Hope" by Vannetta Chapman:
ReplyDelete"Monday mornings were never easy."
No, they aren't...lol. Happy reading Becky!
DeleteI'm looking forward to November, when I plan to pick this book up to begin reading it. :) Happy Friday! The book I’m sharing on my blog is “Out of the Storm” by Jody Hedlund. Since I’m still reading it, I will share the first line of the fourth chapter here. “Isabelle,” called Henry from the bedroom. “I need you!” May your weekend be all you’re hoping it will be.
ReplyDeleteI know--it seems I have to pick up Christmas books earlier and earlier each year, so that I can get them read. :) Hallmark Christmas movies start in October. :) Happy reading Anneliese!
DeleteI'm so looking forward to this book!
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
Today on my blog, I am sharing the first line from Tracy Groot's novel The Stones of my Accusers. Currently, I am reading Finding Us by Heather Moore. So far, it's a fun book. One of those books that has me smiling with each page! I am starting chapter 7, so I will leave the first line from there.
"Opening the bookshop on Saturday morning wasn't as bad as Felicity thought it might be."
Hope you have an excellent weekend filled with quality reading time!
That sounds like the perfect day..."Opening the bookshop." :) Happy reading Nicole!
DeleteHappy Friday! I was going to read Michelle's novella yesterday evening, but while preparing my blog post sharing first line from Shelley Shepard Gray’s Her Fear, I ended up reading the entire book. So here I’ll share the first lines for a novella I plan to read soon, Come Fly with Me by Gina Welborn and Becca Whitham:
ReplyDeletePlease, let him not be here. As Luanne Palmer climbed the stairs to the second floor, she muttered “please” after “please.”
Wow! You read an entire book in one day? I'm impressed. :) Happy reading Yvette!
