5 Year Anniversary and Giveaway!

I am so excited to share that my blog, Encouraging Words from the Tea Queen, celebrated its five year birthday in February of this year!  It is so incredible to realize how long I have been writing and working on my blog, and I am so grateful for all of the lovely adventures my blog has led me to.  The Lord has given me so many wonderful opportunities because of my blog, and I just want to say thank you to Him and to all of you who have gone on this journey with me.

In celebration of my five year anniversary, I wanted to post a literary giveaway.  I will be giving the following books away to a splendid reader:  Death by Darjeeling by Laura Childs (paperback), The Complete Works of Jane Austen (ebook), and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C.S. My heart is full, and I am so happy that I get to share my love of reading and writing with all of you!  Happy reading my friends and good luck in the giveaway!

The Earl's Winning Wager - My Review

Lord Morley's life will change forever when he wins a game of cards and a family of sisters to go along with it. Miss Standish in none too pleased to have become the responsibility of yet another Lord, even if he is full of charm and goodness. Her responsibilities are to her sisters first.
With the repairs on the castle moving forward nicely and concerted efforts in a season in Bath made to find suitors for them all, Miss Standish and Lord Morley must determine where duty stops and matters of the heart take over.
Read this warm tale of family, sisters, loyalty and love to get a huge dose of the best part of a regency romance fans of Jane Austen or Georgette Heyer would enjoy.

I love stories set in this time period--Regency England.  Like the synopsis says, if you love Jane Austen, then you will enjoy this tale.

Miss Standish is in charge of her sisters, which has been her responsibility for many years.  Life has not been the kindest, but thankfully, kindness does come from various individuals within British society.  Jane's main concern though is to see to the happiness of each sister--including marriage to a proper husband.  However, wealth is not the main goal.  As she considers the future of her sisters, finding love is just as important to Jane.

Lord Standish did not expect to have so much thrown at him and for it to come from one of his closest friends.  Somehow, he finds himself in charge of the Sussex sisters, and he knows very little in regards to helping them with all of their needs.  Of course, he can renovate their home, and he can buy them clothes, but what else do these women desire?  And can he provide it?

Check out this book and Johnson's other books, and you can also read my review for her first book in the series here:  The Duke's Second Chance - My Review

Happy reading friends!

This review is my honest opinion. Thanks to Singing Librarian Books for my copy.

An award winning author, including the GOLD in Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Awards, Jen Geigle Johnson discovered her passion for England while kayaking on the Thames near London as a young teenager. She once greeted an ancient turtle under the water by grabbing her fin. She knows all about the sound a water-ski makes on glassy water and how to fall down steep moguls with grace.

During a study break date in college, she sat on top of a jeep's roll bars up in the mountains and fell in love. Now, she loves to share bits of history that might otherwise be forgotten. Whether in Regency England, the French Revolution, or Colonial America, her romance novels are much like life is supposed to be--full of adventure.
