First Line Fridays

This week my first line comes from a new book that I just downloaded to my Kindle.  Thank you to Sydney at Singing Librarian for posting the covers of these books to your Instagram account this week.  :)  I purchased all three books yesterday, and I cannot wait to read each one.  As most know, I love mysteries, and this trilogy of books are the perfect addition to my mystery collection.  The book I am featuring today is book three from this series.

As always, please be sure to check out the book lines from these other amazing bloggers too:

Today I am going to post a line from:

Lemon Tart Mystery

And the first line is...

"Thursday started out as a normal day for Katie Chupp.  As always, she left home just before sunrise, heading toward the small town located not far from her family's farm."

Happy reading and happy Friday!

  1. Thank you for the welcome! I'm thrilled to be joining First Line Friday. I love the look of the tart on the cover of your choice, although I can't say I'm one to up and about before sunrise!

I've got a first line up on my blog, but I'll share the first line from the book I'm currently reading, A Name Unknown by Roseanna M White:

"Rosemary Gresham may have been a thief, but she was a thief who preferred to work in broad daylight."

    1. You're welcome Iola! I just started reading this book by Roseanna looks like it is going to good!

  2. August 1912

She could have been more than she was.

The Reluctant Duchess by Roseanna White

  3. yummm....Lemon Tart! Sounds delicious!

  4. I've read a couple of Naomi's books, and look forward to reading this one.
Happy Friday! My first line (actually first 3 lines) is from His Secret Alaskan Heiress by Belle Calhoune:
" 'Here it is. Fresh out of the oven. One reindeer pizza with feta and spinach,' Sophie announced in a chirpy voice as she set the order down in the middle of the table."

    1. I saw where she is coming out with another book this's called the Pumpkin Pie Mystery. Can't wait! Happy Saturday!

  5. Thank you for the warm welcome! Super excited to be apart of the team!

    These covers are super cute!

My first line is from To The Farthest Shores by Elizabeth Camden.

“U.S. Army Base At The Presidio
    San Francisco, 1898

Jenny Bennett woke as pebbles clattered against the window.”

    1. You're welcome Rebecca! I have several books by Camden that I still need to read. Goodness, can't there be more hours in the day so I can read more? :) Happy Saturday!

  6. I adore lemon lol. My Kindle is closest to me right now and the first book on it is Counted with the Stars by Connilyn Cossette, "My Sandals have not crossed this threshold since I was ten."

    1. Me too! I just downloaded this book to my Kindle. :) Happy Saturday!
