First Line Fridays

This week my first line comes from a new book that I just downloaded to my Kindle.  Thank you to Sydney at Singing Librarian for posting the covers of these books to your Instagram account this week.  :)  I purchased all three books yesterday, and I cannot wait to read each one.  As most know, I love mysteries, and this trilogy of books are the perfect addition to my mystery collection.  The book I am featuring today is book three from this series.

As always, please be sure to check out the book lines from these other amazing bloggers too:

Sydney from Singing Librarian

Kathleen from Kathleen Denly
Lauraine from Lauraine's Notes
Trisha from Joy of Reading
  Jane from C Jane Read
Christina from Moments Dipped in Ink
Molly from Cafinated Reads
Anna from Romances of the Cross

And I want to welcome Rebecca and Iola to the First Line Fridays fun!

Today I am going to post a line from:

Lemon Tart Mystery
by Naomi Miller

And the first line is...

"Thursday started out as a normal day for Katie Chupp.  As always, she left home just before sunrise, heading toward the small town located not far from her family's farm."

Happy reading and happy Friday!

  1. Thank you for the welcome! I'm thrilled to be joining First Line Friday. I love the look of the tart on the cover of your choice, although I can't say I'm one to up and about before sunrise!

I've got a first line up on my blog, but I'll share the first line from the book I'm currently reading, A Name Unknown by Roseanna M White:

"Rosemary Gresham may have been a thief, but she was a thief who preferred to work in broad daylight."

Happy Friday! My first line (actually first 3 lines) is from His Secret Alaskan Heiress by Belle Calhoune:
" 'Here it is. Fresh out of the oven. One reindeer pizza with feta and spinach,' Sophie announced in a chirpy voice as she set the order down in the middle of the table."
