If you would like to join us, send Carrie a message and let her know!

Grab the book nearest to you and leave a comment with the first line!

Today I am going to post a line from:

A Convenient Christmas Wedding
by Regina Scott

And the first line is...

Seattle, Washington Territory
December 1866

"What better time than a wedding to ask a man to marry you?"

Happy reading and have a wonderful and safe Black Friday!

I am living my nightmare. A violent storm has overtaken our steamship, and as we mount high on the crest of a wave one moment, then plunge sickeningly into a watery trough the next, I am certain we are about to sink.

Had to let you in on the second line there, too much suspense for just one little line!

    1. It's so hard not to add more than one line! :) Plus, I love these lines--you really need to know who uttered them. I know I have said them before in my prayers.
