Grab the book nearest to you and leave a comment with the first line!

Today I am going to post a line from:

  An Amish Christmas Wedding
by Amy Clipston, Kelly Irvin, Kathleen Fuller, Vannetta Chapman

And the first line is...

"Evergreen Love"
by Amy Clipston

"Lorene lifted her head after a silent prayer and surveyed the supper table, set with her father's favorite meal."

Happy reading and happy Friday!

  1. I'm sharing that book on my blog today, too, and am very much looking forward to reading it! I'm currently reading the second novella in The Kissing Tree which is by Karen Witemeyer. The first line of that novella is "Illogical business proposals made Barnabas Ackerly's skin itch, but this one irritated like a hundred mosquito bites treated with a poison ivy poultice."

"I have a bad feeling about this, Father." Meredoch felt a scowl contorting his face.

  5. I’m sharing the first line of chapter 19 of The Love Note by Joanna Politano:
If I should happen to fall in love, the outcome of such a plight depends, like any big fall, on who is there to catch me.
