First Line Fridays

Merry Christmas!  I know this is the last Friday before Christmas, so I wanted to wish you and your families that happiest of holidays.  And I hope Santa leaves you lots of books under the tree.  :)

What books are you looking forward to reading in 2019?  There are so many wonderful stories coming out, and I am so excited to read the next text in several of the series I have read.  Happy reading everyone!

Grab the book nearest to you and leave a comment with the first line!

Today I am going to post a line from:

The White Christmas Inn: A Novel
by Colleen Wright

And the first line is...

"As the inn appeared on the crest at the end of the snowy drive, nestled in the folds of the gently rolling Vermont foothills, Molly Winslow actually laughed aloud."

Happy reading and happy Friday!

Let me know your first line in the comments & then head over to Hoarding Books  to see who else is participating!

  1. Wonderful beginning! The cover is great too. Here's the first line from Secrets at Cedar Cabin by Colleen Coble -- "Bailey Fleming glanced out her patient's window into the parking lot, but the swirling snow obscured all but the dim glow of the streetlamp."

  2. Happy Friday!

Today on my blog, I am sharing the first line from Jenny B. Jones’s novel His Mistletoe Miracle. It sounds like an amazing book that I am really excited to get to. Currently, I am right in the middle of In the Shadow of Croft Towers by Abigail Wilson, so I will share a line from that book.

Chapter 10: “It was the following day before I was able to deliver the message I’d received from the milliner.”

Hope you have a great weekend filled with lovely reading time, and Happy Holidays to you and your family! 😊❤️📚 + 🤶 🎅🎄

  3. Happy Friday!
This week I'm sharing from Castle on the Rise by Kristy Cambron (I have an ARC… doesn't release until Feb 2019), but it's also the book I'm currently reading so I'll share the first line from my current chapter (18) here: "Maeve had just put down her quill to close the estate ledger when the alarm bell clanged outside." Hope you have the chance to get some reading in this weekend and have a very Merry Christmas! :)
