Yesterday, I received a blog email from a fellow FLF member, and she had reviewed this book, which looked so interesting. I love the title, and I love that it is a Christmas tale with its story set in the mystery genre. All good things, right?! So I thought I would highlight this book this week. Especially, since I just purchased it from Amazon Kindle. :) Happy reading everyone!

Today I am going to post a line from:
A Very Merry Murder
by Mary Angela
And the first line is...
"Up and down Oxford Street, Christmas decorations were beginning to twinkle, lighting up the snow globes of red, green, and gold. In my little bungalow, nestled in the middle of the block, I was decking the halls (or porch, rather) with tiny white lights."
Happy reading and happy Friday!
Let me know your first line in the comments & then head over to Hoarding Books to see who else is participating!
Happy Friday!🎃
ReplyDeleteMy first lines come from Winter Without You by Beth Good.
Hannah thought it looked like the saddest house in the world, a slate-roofed Cornish monolith with dark windows for eyes, looming out at them from under November rain. Did houses have feelings , though? she wondered, studying it as they drew steadily closer. Could a house emote? Or was that all in the eyes of the beholder?
Have a great weekend and happy reading!💕📚💕
Thanks Susan! Have a wonderful weekend too!
DeleteI'm beginning to see lots of Christmas books. I will be posting some soon, too!
ReplyDeleteSo exciting! I love this time of the year! Happy reading Michelle!
DeleteHave a good weekend! My first line is from “Somewhere Beyond the Blue: Fun sixty-something romances” – the first one is “A TIME TO PUSH DAISIES” by Marion Ueckermann:
ReplyDelete“Caleb Blume shuffled outside onto the wooden deck of his posh Camps Bay apartment, feeling three decades older than his sixty-two years.”
I feel so sad for this character! I have had those days--I feel so old...lol. Happy reading Becky!
DeleteHappy Friday!

I'm on chapter 12 so I'll share the first line from there: "Clouds began to cloak the few stars that were determined to see light into the dreary hill country." Hope you have a great weekend with plenty of reading!

DeleteI am sharing from Eternity Between Us by Stephenia McGee. I’ll give you the first line from the third chapter:
