I read and reviewed A Stolen Heart by Amanda Cabot last year, and it was simply splendid. So, I am so excited to read this next book in the series, which comes out the end of this month! I already highly recommend checking it out. :)

Today I am going to post a line from:
A Borrowed Dream
by Amanda Cabot
And the first line is...
"It was only a dream. Catherine Whitfield fumbled with the lamp on her bedside table, taking a deep breath as light filled the room. There was no reason to be upset."
Happy reading and happy Friday!
Let me know your first line in the comments & then head over to Hoarding Books to see who else is participating!
Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteMy First Line Friday comes from a book I will be reading soon, Before We Were Strangers by Brenda Novak!
As far back as Sloane McBride could remember, she’d been told she was an ice-queen. Even the people closest to her, especially the people closest to her, complained about her reserve.
Have a great weekend!😁
This first line reminds me of Elsa in Frozen. :) Happy Thursday Susan!
DeleteI've got an Amanda Cabot read on my March TBR!
ReplyDeleteBut first, I plan to start The Innkeeper's Daughter by Michelle Griep this weekend, so I'll share the first line from that book.
"Numbers would be the death of Johanna Langley."
Happy Friday!
Yeah! I'm so happy to hear that! You will really enjoy Cabot's books. And I just received this book in the mail by Michelle Griep--can't wait to read it. Happy Thursday Suzie!

ReplyDeleteToday I am showcasing the first line from Michelle Griep's newest novel, The Innkeeper's Daughter. I am loving the book. It is a page turner, and the hero is wonderful. I am just starting chapter 18, so I will share the first line from that chapter here:
"Johanna opened the door to chaos, then stood there, jaw agape."
I can't wait to read this book! Happy Thursday Nicole!
DeleteI'll have to look into this book and add it to my long list of TBR. Happy Friday! The book I'm sharing on my blog is an old one: The Knight and the Dove by Lori Wick. Here, I will share Love on the Mend by Karen Witemeyer, "Peace and quiet. That's all he sought." Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteI understand the long list of TBR books. :) Happy Thursday Anneliese!
DeleteAhhhh bad dreams are awful!
ReplyDeleteI agree Rachel, but it is so nice to wake up from a bad dream! :) Happy Thursday!
DeleteI've woken up from dreams like that. They are freaky!
ReplyDeleteI'm sharing from a title set in WWII on my blog today, Firing Line by Mike Hollow. It's a murder mystery set in London during the Blitz.
But here's the first line from the book I'm currently reading, Change of Heart by Courtney Walsh:
Evelyn Brandt stood in her kitchen, the sound of uptight laughter filtering in from the dining room.
It's excellent!
What a lovely first line! :) Happy Thursday Iola!
DeleteI’m sharing from Karen Barnett’s The Road to Paradise on my blog today, so here I’ll share the first line from another book I hope to read soon, The Alliance by Jolina Petersheim:
ReplyDelete“Buffered by grassland, the collision is strangely quiet.”
Have a great (bad dream free) weekend!
Thanks Yvette! You too! :) Happy Thursday!
