This week I wanted to highlight the first book in a trilogy series, Rachelle Rea Cobb's book The Sound of Diamonds, which is the first book in the Steadfast Love series. I am excited to read each of these books--this first book has been collecting dust in my Kindle waiting to be read. :) At the end of the month, I will be talking about the third book, The Sound of Emeralds, for Rachelle's Birthday Blog Tour. So do not forget to check that out! As always, please be sure to check out the book lines from these other amazing bloggers too:

"A crash shook the nun's cell I had called my own since seeking refuge in my mother's homeland. My gaze snapped to the door."
Happy reading and Happy Friday!
I've had this series on my TBR for a while. I must try and get to it soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm featuring Bodie & Brock Thoene's "Behold the Man" this week, seeing as it's Easter. Speaking of which, have a blessed one!
Happy Easter!
DeleteI haven't heard of Rachelle Rea, but it sounds good. Happy Friday! My first line is from Noelle Marchand's "The Nanny's Temporary Triplets" : "By the power vested in me by God and the state of Texas" --- "Stop this wedding!"
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it supposed to be or not but hilarious first line! :) Happy Easter!
DeleteOh, THIS first chapter! I loved it!! I've read the first two books in this series. Haven't made it to Emeralds yet.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read this book! Don't forget to check out Cobb's The Sounds of Emeralds Birthday Blog Tour this month. :) Happy Easter!
DeleteI started this book this week even though I kept telling myself I don't have time to read AND close out a school year! :-)
ReplyDeleteMy first line is from Candice Curry's autobiography A CON MAN'S DAUGHTER: "I could hear my name being called, but I was stuck somewhere between a dream and reality."
But the line that made me keep reading is this one, a thought Candice had as a 13-year-old: "I strained to hear God's voice in my ear but only heard Satan whisper how much he loved me."
Good for you! We should always make time to read. :) Happy Easter!
DeleteMy first line comes from GRACE by Max Lucado.
ReplyDeleteSome years ago I underwent a heart procedure.
Wow...what a first line. Thank goodness that the Lord is always with us. Happy Easter!
DeleteA Joyful Easter weekend to you and yours, Heather! :) I'm participating in the Emeralds birthday blog tour as well! Small bookish world ;)
ReplyDeleteSo glad to have both of you on the tour team. :)
DeleteThanks Beth! Happy Easter to you too! :)
