Tea Time!
I was talking with a friend today about one of my favorite things--tea! :) She was telling me about the Tazo tea she was enjoying for the day (Darjeeling), and I was telling her about some of my favorite teas and sweets to go along with my cup of tea. My favorite is probably Earl Grey, but most hot tea flavors are good. :) Of course, teas are broken down into three main categories--black teas, green teas, and herbal teas. So you can pick which group you prefer, and then select a favorite tea from the bunch. Earl Grey is a black tea, yet Darjeeling belongs to several of the tea categories.
What types of tea do you enjoy? What sweet treats do you like to add to your cup of tea?

Quote for the Day
"Cambric tea was hot water and milk, with only a taste of tea in it, but little girls felt grown-up when their mothers let them drink cambric tea."

Back to our original programming...
First off, I want to apologize for not having my regularly
scheduled blog up this past Saturday. I
was out of town that day, and I just completely forgot to post my blog for the
day. No worries though—my regular blog
posts will resume this week.
Secondly, my friend Natalie, at Sweet South Blog, tagged me to
answer this questionnaire. I loved her
answers, so if you haven’t read her blog, please go and read her answers. Natalie, my book collection looks like that
too. :) Brilliant!
So here goes with my answers to the following questions!
Have
you talked to anyone in person about a book this week? I actually have. I seem to talk to people about books every
week. :)
What
book was it? It was actually
several different books. A new mystery
series that I discovered—I was asking someone’s opinion about it.
What
are the two biggest emotional reactions you've gotten from a book or movie this
year? Surprise is probably the
best answer. That feeling you get when a
character does something out of the ordinary—an event that you did not see
coming. All of the twists and turns within the
plot of a novel, that tend to drive you crazy at times, always seem to make
the book more interesting somehow.
What
are you reading right now? Ok, so
I know it is not Christmas, but I have been reading from a collection of
short stories that are in the book An Old
Fashioned Christmas.
How
many books have you read this year? I would
say nine or ten.
What
was the last flower mentioned in a book you read? Oh goodness, that is a hard
question, but I remember tulips being mentioned in a particular scene.
If you
could choose to travel to the setting of one of the last three books you read,
which would you choose? Well,
one of the last books I read took place in England. So, I think I would travel there. :)
If you
could choose three living authors, to follow around for a day, who would you
choose? Janette
Oke, Lawana Blackwell, and Laura Childs
What
about deceased authors? Jane
Austen, C.S. Lewis, and Charles Dickens
If you could read only one fiction book for
the rest of your life, which would you choose?
Pride and Prejudice
