First Line Fridays

Happy February everyone!  Valentine's Day is upon us, and the wintry month of January is in the past.  However, it is still freezing cold where I am, and I know most of the country is enduring frigid temperatures and snow.  Thankfully, reading is in an inside activity, and there is nothing better than having a cup of tea with a book in hand.  :)  Happy reading friends and stay warm!

Grab the book nearest to you and leave a comment with the first line!

Today I am going to post a line from:

  Beauty and the Baron
by Joanna Barker

And the first line is...

"Rose Sinclair prided herself on being an excellent walker."

Happy reading and happy Friday!

Let me know your first line in the comments & then head over to Hoarding Books  to see who else is participating!

  1. Happy Friday!

Today on my blog, I'm sharing the first line from The Christmas Remedy by Cindy Woodsmall and Erin Woodsmall. It's a sweet little book if you haven't read it yet. I'm currently starting The Seamstress by Allison Pittman, so I'll share the first line from this book.

"My first and last memories are my cousin Laurette."

I'm very excited to read this book!

Hope you have a great weekend filled with awesome reading time. 😀❤📚

On my blog today I'm sharing the first line from True Nobility by Lori Bates Wright but I have no extra line to share right now b/c I'm currently in-between books and getting ready to head out to Snow Camp with the youth group. Brrrrr! Hope you have a great weekend!

    1. The book you shared looks great! I've read a lot of Amish stories, but I've not heard of that author before--I will have to check them out. Happy reading Molly!

  4. That first line is almost funny in how mundane it is.

I'm sharing the first line of Maybe It's You by Christy Hayes on my blog, but I'm currently reading The Masterpiece by Francine Rivers, so I'll share that first line:

Roman Valesco climbed the fire escape and swung over the wall onto the flat roof.

    Happy reading!

  5. Sounds like a good book! Happy Reading!

My first line is from A Desperate Hope by Elizabeth Camden: "Alex Duval's first hint of trouble was when Eloise failed to appear at their hideaway."

  6. Happy Weekend! My first line (well, first 2 lines) is from "Ellie's Redemption" by Molly Jebber:

"Ellie Graber glanced at Joel Wenger across the room. Her heart raced, and her cheeks warmed."
