First Line Fridays

This week's first line comes from a book I just purchased.  I recently remembered that I had the ebook The Bronte Plot, which I still have not had a chance to read, but I have also been wanting to read A Portrait of Emily Price by Katherine Reay.  Has anyone read either of these books?  I love the literary titles, and at the moment you can pick up this second text on Amazon for $1.99.  I love Kindle book deals.  :)

As always, please be sure to check out the book lines from these other amazing bloggers too:

Today I am going to post a line from:

A Portrait of Emily Price
by Katherine Reay

And the first line is...

"Piccolo.  The restaurant matched its name--a tiny and delicate white stucco building with a short, neat brick wall leading from its front door to the parking lot."

Happy reading and happy Friday!

  1. On my blog this week I'm excited to be teaming up with Carrie Turansky and sharing the first line & cover reveal for her new book "Across the Blue" scheduled to be released early 2018! I wanted to share another great line on the comments, so I've borrowed the book that my 9 year old son is currently reading.
